In a nutshell, inbound call centres are mainly customer service focused.
While, The functioning of outbound call centres is the exact opposite of inbound ones. Instead of waiting for incoming calls, agents in outbound call centres make calls to potential customers. In short, outbound call centres are principally sales focused.
