difference between Inbound & Outbound call center

An inbound call center is a separate office where companies will receive calls from their customers. These phones calls usually deal with problems or questions that a customer may have about an item or service that they have just purchased. Sometimes the callers are willing to be patient, while other times they are not in a good mood.

In inbound call center customer will receive the call from customer associate with queries or complain.
In outbound call center customer will make the call to customer associate with selling product etc.

This is right, I agree with the "talkagent" He explained good.

Inbound call centres deal solely with incoming calls, and this means they don’t make calls on behalf of their clients. Moreover, they always ensure that interactions initiated by customers always get responded in the best possible manner so that nothing can put their clients’ brand image in a jeopardy. In a nutshell, inbound call centres are mainly customer service focused.

While, The functioning of outbound call centres is the exact opposite of inbound ones. Instead of waiting for incoming calls, agents in outbound call centres make calls to potential customers. In short, outbound call centres are principally sales focused.
